AE+

How Does It Impact Our Customers?

Classrooms and computer labs where multiple staff and students share the same device will see steadier, more reliable sign-in behavior — no more failed logins after a string of users have signed in and out. Sessions also recover more gracefully behind the scenes, so a brief hiccup is far less likely to force someone back to the sign-in screen in the middle of a lesson. And every link inside AE+ — the launcher, dashboard, and home navigation — now takes users exactly where they expect, straight into the application.

AE+ is a hosted platform, so improvements like these reach every district automatically, with nothing to install or update. This release is a focused reliability patch aimed squarely at the shared-device reality of K-12 classrooms and labs, where interruptions to sign-in or navigation cost valuable instructional time. Keeping access smooth and dependable is foundational to AE+'s mission of putting audio enhancement tools in front of teachers and students without friction, so they can stay focused on learning.

AE+ now lives at app.ae-1.com

The production AE+ application has moved from https://ae-1.com to https://app.ae-1.com. The bare ae-1.com address now serves a separate marketing site and no longer opens the application.

  • Update any saved bookmarks, shortcuts, or documentation that point staff and students to https://ae-1.com so they instead point to https://app.ae-1.com.
  • Links from the app launcher, the navigation menu, and Lighthouse all resolve correctly to the new address automatically — no in-app changes are needed once bookmarks are updated.
  • QA and other non-production environments are unaffected.

Fixes

Signed-in users no longer get stuck on the sign-in screen

A session-restore problem could leave an already signed-in user staring at the sign-in page instead of being taken into the application. Restoring a session now recovers correctly in this situation instead of failing silently.

Shared classroom computers no longer lock up after multiple sign-ins

On computers used by many students or staff throughout the day (for example, shared classroom machines), repeated sign-ins and sign-outs could eventually cause every request to fail. This happened because sign-in data left behind by earlier users accumulated in the browser until requests were rejected for being too large. The application now cleans up leftover sign-in data from previous users automatically, so shared machines keep working normally across many sign-ins.
