AE1 1.2

AE1 1.2 Release Highlights

Updated

Key Features

  • Proactive Appliance Health Monitoring — the platform now automatically detects health issues on district appliances, tracks resolution status, and surfaces alerts before classrooms are impacted.
  • School-Hours-Aware Deployments — a new UpdateGuardian component intelligently defers software updates until outside school hours, ensuring no deployment ever interrupts an active lesson.
  • Early Access Beta Opt-In — districts can now self-enroll in the Early Access program directly from the platform UI, gaining first access to new capabilities before general availability.
  • Ring Deployment Visibility & Recovery — failure alerts appear inline in the deployment list and detail views, appliance and district counts are accurate, and administrators can restart cancelled ring deployments from a single screen.
  • Bulk Appliance Management — administrators can now select and move multiple appliances simultaneously, turning what was a one-at-a-time task into a single operation.
  • Table State Persistence — filters and sort order are preserved as you navigate across pages, so your view is always ready when you return.

How Does It Impact Our Customers?

Districts using EPIC+ 1.2 gain a significantly more proactive and resilient platform. Health issues on student appliances are detected and reported automatically — before a support ticket needs to be filed — while the UpdateGuardian component ensures software deployments never disrupt an active classroom session. The overhauled ring-deployment experience puts full visibility and control at administrators' fingertips: see exactly which appliances and districts are in scope, catch failures as they happen, and recover quickly with a single restart action. Routine device housekeeping is faster too, with bulk appliance moves replacing one-at-a-time workflows.

What Is EPIC+ 1.2?

EPIC+ 1.2 is a feature release that delivers the first wave of automated appliance-health intelligence alongside a school-hours-aware deployment safety layer. The release also matures the ring-based software delivery pipeline with improved observability, district-facing Early Access enrollment, bulk device management, and a series of quality-of-life improvements and security hardening across the platform.

Why Does It Matter?

Schools rely on EPIC+ to keep their audio-enhancement appliances running reliably — and on district technology teams to deploy updates without disrupting the school day. Version 1.2 moves the platform from reactive to proactive: health problems are surfaced automatically before classrooms feel the impact, and the UpdateGuardian guarantees that no update lands mid-lesson. By putting Early Access enrollment and clearer deployment dashboards directly in administrators' hands, EPIC+ 1.2 gives the people responsible for student learning outcomes more visibility, more control, and more confidence in every deployment.
