AE1 1.7.3

AE1 1.7.3 Release Highlights

Updated

Key Features

  • Smoother sign-in and sign-out experience with a refined authentication flow
  • Expanded device health monitoring so issues with connected devices are surfaced sooner
  • More reliable device provisioning and configuration syncing behind the scenes

How Does It Impact Our Customers?

This release focuses on reliability and day-to-day polish rather than big new capabilities. Districts will notice a more consistent login and logout experience, and administrators benefit from broader device status monitoring that helps catch connectivity issues before they affect classrooms. Behind the scenes, improvements to how devices are identified and configured make deployments steadier and reduce the chance of sync issues.

Why Does It Matter?

Reliability is what makes technology disappear into the background of the classroom. By tightening authentication, extending device health visibility, and hardening how devices are provisioned, this release helps ensure EPIC+ systems stay dependable for teachers and students without requiring extra attention from district staff. It's a focused maintenance release that keeps the platform running smoothly as we continue building toward larger upcoming improvements.

Technical Release Notes 1.7.3

Improvements

Device Status Monitoring on Legacy and Internal Deployments

Device status (health) monitoring — the per-device connectivity reporting already available elsewhere — is now active on legacy and internal deployment configurations as well, bringing them in line with other deployment types.

Fixes

Signing Out No Longer Signs You Back In

Fixed an issue where clicking sign out could immediately sign the user back in instead of ending the session, because the sign-in provider's session cookie was not being cleared. Sign out now fully ends the session.

Device Password Reliability

Fixed an issue where a device's stored password could become bound to the wrong appliance identity, which could later cause a device to fail to authenticate. Creating or updating a device's password now requires that the appliance's IoT identity be fully provisioned; if it is not, the request is rejected with a clear error instead of silently storing a mismatched password.
