Technical Release Notes 1.8.1.7
Additions
In rare cases, lecture capture videos can fail due to a file lock. Previously, this would force retries to fail. Additional changes were added to retain the original lecture capture files (camera and desktop) so upload retries will find both files and put them together before upload.
When saving System Settings or completing VIEWpath My Workshop user registration, there is now an animation on the buttons after click so the user knows the system is processing. Prior to this, it could appear as if the system didn’t respond to the button click and user would try again which could lead to system errors.
Fixes
There was a global CA Certificate which was being used by many clients and operating systems which expired on September 30, 2021. Requests to hosts using a certificate with that in the chain resulted in expired certificate issues and requests would fail.
This impacted VIEWpath for Torsh Customers specifically. Teachers were unable to login via EPIC or record and upload to Torsh.
Tech Notes
May require pre-requisite patch if coming from version prior to 1.8.1.0
