Additions

• Added capability for users to set the SAFE Alert “home position” for the EduCamPTZ-B.

  • The pan and tilt can be set under advanced settings section of the device in EPIC.

Fixes

• The MS500A and MS300B drivers have the following improvements:

  • These devices could revert to an incorrect static IP address when manually added to EPIC. This has been resolved and no longer modifies networking unless explicitly changed by user.

  • The “Intercom and Paging” volume setting was controlling the “main” volume in these devices. The main volume has been added separately and now the paging volume properly controls that setting.

  • The intercom echo cancellation mode settings would apply to devices but appear unmodified next time they opened in the device form and now they show up properly. The defaults were also modified to perform better.

Tech Notes

• Versions 1.9.0.0 and above can use the standard upgrade procedure to update to 2.0.0.0+.

• Versions below 1.9 must contact Audio Enhancement for a custom upgrade process.

  • Users must first upgrade to 1.9.0.1 and then run the upgrade to 2.0.0.0+

  • There is a specialized import process from 1.8.1.0+ versions of EPIC to 1.9.0.0. Customers will need to be updated to 1.8.1.0 or above, then take a backup. After installation of 1.9.0.0, this backup can be directly imported into EPIC 1.9.0.0 for a seamless upgrade.
