EPIC 2.5 is a new major release update that includes several significant user interface changes. Administrators should review the EPIC Interactive Training Module and prepare and train users prior to rolling out the updates. This is an open early access release. Customers should be aware of the updates and test it thoroughly before rolling it out to all sites.

Additions

• If using the Confirm Room feature for lockdown reporting, the Select button will confirm the room and mark it confirmed/green on the map.

• In specific conditions, the paging service configuration would become corrupted and reload repeatedly. Additional detection and auto-healing capabilities were added to prevent this.

Fixes

• In certain instances, a school with 160+ devices, would use the ‘Select Entire School’ button on the Kiosk and there would be a significant delay, We made improvements to the backend of the map to enhance the responsiveness of the map and the selection of the rooms.

• Found an issue with the ITC where the Lockdown image was not included on a new installation of EPIC with 2.5.4.0. This issue does not occur when upgrading EPIC from an older version to 2.5.4.0. We fixed this to ensure the script runs correctly and adds the image to EPIC on installation.

• In some cases, teachers would log in to EPIC, and the page would be blank. We corrected this issue to ensure the teacher page pulls up correctly upon login.
