Technical Release Notes 2.5.4.2
EPIC 2.5 is a major release update that includes several significant user interface changes. Administrators should review the EPIC Interactive Training Module and prepare and train users prior to rolling out the updates. This is an open early access release. Customers should be aware of the updates and test them thoroughly before rolling them out to all sites.
EPIC 2.5 introduces friendly contact based management for alert and event notifications. When migrating from a version prior to 2.5, notification events must be manually migrated to a contact list and then added to events. If administrators edit events after updating to 2.5 prior to migrating contacts, event contacts may be lost.
Additions
In the Bulk Configuration, if users made volume changes to specific devices and ran it, the volume changes would be overwritten. We have removed the volume from the Bulk Configuration process so any changes to an MS device will remain.
Fixes
If two or more users were logged in to the same EPIC system, the Listen In during a SAFE alert would not function correctly. This has been corrected, the Listen In will function correctly no matter the number of users logged in.
In some cases, if a room name contained an alphabetical character, the SAFE Preview would not function correctly. This was corrected to work with or without these characters.
After adding a CAP event conditions, and then saving the event, it would be removed from the event. This has been fixed so the CAP condition will save properly.
An issue was found where EPIC wouldn’t accept certain domains when creating a backup. This has been fixed to accept all domain names.
Various minor fixes for the CZA-1300 devices
