EPIC 3.0 is a major release update that includes significant user backend changes needed to provide enhanced security, improved performance, and support. Administrators should review the EPIC Interactive Training Module and prepare and train users prior to rolling out the updates.

When migrating from a version prior to 2.5, notification events must be manually migrated to a contact list and then added to events. If administrators edit events after updating to 2.5 prior to migrating contacts, event contacts may be lost.

Additions

• Microphone and Badge Alert Behavior – Updated critical functionality so that when no active alert exists, pressing the triangle button on microphones and badges will have no effect. If a SAFE alert is active, pressing the triangle button will properly trigger an Escalated Alert.

Fixes

• Escalated Alert Actions – Resolved an issue where saving a SAFE Alert in the new event engine with a button set to escalate would remove all actions from the Escalated Alert. Actions are now preserved as intended, regardless of escalation settings in other events.

• Time Format Setting – Corrected a problem introduced in the 3.0.0 upgrade where the time format defaulted to 24-hour (military) time and could not be changed. The system now defaults to 12-hour format and allows proper time format configuration.

• Room Outline Alignment – Fixed a display issue where room outlines on maps were misaligned with the underlying map image, improving accuracy when selecting rooms.

• Map Resolution and Clarity – Addressed a problem where map images appeared distorted or overly zoomed in, resulting in a blurry display. Maps now render with proper resolution and sharp detail.
