EPIC 3.0 is a major release update that includes significant user backend changes needed to provide enhanced security, improved performance, and support. Administrators should review the EPIC Interactive Training Module and prepare and train users prior to rolling out the updates.

When migrating from a version prior to 2.5, notification events must be manually migrated to a contact list and then added to events. If administrators edit events after updating to 2.5 prior to migrating contacts, event contacts may be lost.

Fixes

• Badge Battery Reporting - Resolved an issue where badge battery levels would incorrectly display as 0% if the EPIC system had not received a “check-in” from the badge in over 24 hours. Battery levels now display accurately regardless of the time between check-ins.

• InfoView Display (Thinlabs Model) Device Stability - Addressed an issue affecting InfoView (Thinlabs Model) devices. The issue was caused by a recurring daily command (lockDevice) that can potentially cause instability due to simultaneous reboots on all devices and a power spike. This command has been removed from the nightly processes, resulting in improved stability and reliability for these devices.

• Lockdown Event Actions - Fixed an issue where the startOtherEvent action was inadvertently re-added to the Lockdown event, even after it had been manually removed. With this update, the action is no longer included in Lockdown event actions by default and will not be re-added during future EPIC upgrades.
