EPIC System 3.1.4

Technical Release Notes 3.1.4

EPIC 3.0 is a major release that includes significant user-facing backend changes to enhance security, improve performance, and provide better support. Administrators should review the EPIC Interactive Training Module and prepare and train users prior to rolling out the updates.

When migrating from a version prior to 2.5, notification events must be manually migrated to a contact list and then added to events. If administrators edit events after updating to 2.5 prior to migrating contacts, event contacts may be lost.

Fixes

  • Improved SAFE Alert Accuracy
Resolved an issue where SAFE alerts triggered from a badge could cause inaccurate location data on the map. Previously, EPIC would include badges that hadn’t checked in for over an hour, which skewed the reported positions. This has been corrected — EPIC now filters out inactive badges to ensure that position tracking is precise and reliable during alert events.

Fixed SIP Extension Assignment for AND Devices
Addressed a configuration issue affecting systems with more than 50 AND devices. When pushing settings in bulk, EPIC was incorrectly assigning the same SIP extension to all AND devices. The bulk configuration process has been updated to ensure each AND device now receives a unique SIP extension, improving call routing and overall system reliability.
